Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the US and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is employed by ESPN and works as an SportsCenter News Anchor. She joined ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from age nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her get her first position as producer assistant at Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. It was the CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg hired her after this as an sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated to Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting at KNVO TV 48 Univision. She covered stories about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs across both Texas and Mexico. She would also fill in at times as a news and sport anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter at Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She was a reporter for all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. Then, she became the sports host on the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. Also, she was a sports anchor on Primer Impacto, a magazine program that airs on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was born in Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is a sister. She has an older sister. In 1992, her parents divorced and shortly afterward in 1995 she was remarried Fabio Fajardo, an engineer in the naval sector who died in 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. The time of summer when she was with her sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered the job. Antonietta had just graduated high school but already knew the things she wanted to be doing. She discovered that she enjoyed the university and that the school provided the degree she was looking for. Following her graduation from high school, she decided to enroll at the university with a major with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked over the years, became an acquaintance. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
